Transition Open Evening

Transition Chandlers Ford held a successful Transition Open Evening on Thursday 16th February in Chandlers Ford. The evening consisted of a short film introducing the issues of peak oil and climate change, followed by a presentation, given by Greg Hewitt – founder of Transition Chandlers Ford.

The presentation covered the current Eastleigh Transition Network projects, along with a list of projects that had proven to be successful in other Transition initiatives in the UK. The aim was to inspire people about the potential of communities coming together to tackle the challenges we face. Ideas included community tree planting, The Great Reskilling, and an energy monitor loan scheme. If you’d like to see the presentation, please leave a comment or send an email to Transition Chandlers Ford.
