Allotments
Allotment plots off Winchester Street can be rented by local people. There is a growing demand for allotments in the country, and this is reflected in Botley, where there is a waiting list for allotments in the village. The allotment site is managed by an Association of allotment holders, which ensures the site is well used and managed. Financial and other support from the Local Authorities enables improvements to be carried out, eg fencing. Those who live in Botley and would like to rent a plot, can contact the Secretary, Janet Humphries, tel 01489 799377 or email janet.susan@yahoo.co.uk. The Association is actively campaigning for more allotments to be provided.
